Engineering Scholarships
Eligibility: pursue a degree in engineering or a related
science
(math, chemistry, physics, biology, technologies, computer science),
meet GPA and SAT/ACT score requirements outlined in individual
requirements of each scholarship

2.
SAMMY
Award Program
America’s Mil Processors and USA TODAY sponsor the annual
“Scholar Athlete Milk Mustache of the Year” Award
Program.
This program recognizes outstanding scholar athletes in grade 12 from
high schools throughout the US. Applications and official rules are
available online at bodybymilk.com.
Eligibility: academic performance, athletic excellence,
leadership, community service and milk experience

Sam
Walton Community Scholarships
The Sam Walton Community Scholarship is a non-renewable $1,000 award
for the first year of undergraduate study at an approved accredited
college or university.

4.
Santee Electric Cooperative Scholarships
Santee Electric Cooperative awards scholarships in the amount of $500
to high school seniors at the annual meeting in March.
Applicants
must be a SEC member or a child or legal ward of a SEC member that has
been in good standing at least 12 consecutive months before the
application deadline. Applications are available in guidance
in
January or contact Santee Electric.
5.
South
Carolina Alliance of Black School Educators Scholarship
The South Carolina Alliance of Black School Educators (SCABSE) awards
scholarships to minority students planning to major in education or to
continue their studies in teacher education. Selection
Criteria: scholarship (20%), activities (20%), written
expression
and commitment (40%), recommendations (20%)

South
Carolina Association of Counties Presidential Scholarship Program
A $2,000 scholarship will be awarded in May to a graduating high school
senior who is a resident of Florence County. The applicant
must
plan to attend a South Carolina college/university or two-year
technical college in the fall. The awarding of the
scholarship
will be based on the accuracy and completeness of the application, the
handwritten essay; need, grades, school activities, and community
involvement.
Applications available in guidance in early spring if funds are
available.

Carolina Association of Educational Office Professionals Scholarship
Annual $1,000 scholarship to a deserving senior
Eligibility: major in business, B average in high school
business
courses, overall C average, essay and recommendations

Carolina Automobile Dealers Association North-South All-Star Queen
Scholarship Contest
Three awards are presented as scholarships to the college/university of
the winners’ choice: $1000 to the Game Queen and
$500 to
two Game Princesses.

Carolina Coaches Association of Women’s Sports Scholarship
for
Female Academic Athletes Majoring in Education
The South Carolina Coaches Association of Women’s Sports
annually
offers a one-time monetary award scholarship to an incoming female
college freshman from South Carolina who plans to major in education.
Eligibility: academic excellence, SAT 1000/ ACT 22,
extracurricular activities with athletic and non-athletic
participation, essay required

South Carolina Coaches Association of Women’s Sports and
Trophies
by “M” Scholarship
$1,000
scholarship to an enrolling female college freshman planning to major
in the medical field

Scholarship
Eligibility: pursue a career in education, attend accredited
four-year institution full-time in South Carolina, financial need

South Carolina Junior Golf Foundation Scholarship
Eligibility: 2.75/4.0 scale, attend accredited institution in
South Carolina, have a competitive or recreational interest in golf

South Carolina Law Enforcement Officers Association Scholarship
Eligibility: attend an accredited two-year or four-year

15.
South Carolina State Fair Scholarship
The South Carolina State Fair offers scholarships for graduating
seniors. Fifty selected seniors will be awarded $2,000
scholarships for attendance at South Carolina two-year and four-year
schools.
Eligibility: need, academic and extra-curricular achievement,
communication skills, and aptitude for completion of application

South Carolina Teaching Fellows Scholarship
The SC Teaching Fellows Program ($6,000 renewable) is designed to
recruit talented high school seniors into the teaching profession and
to help them develop leadership qualities. Fellowships are
based
on academic achievement, references, community and school
involvement, an interview and a writing assessment.
Students must attend one of the eleven Teaching Fellows
institutions.

Student Loan Corporation $1K Giveaway
Every month SC Student Loan awards a $1,000 scholarship
Eligibility: high school junior, senior, college student, or
their parent

18.
SunTrust Off to College Scholarship Sweepstakes
High school seniors can win a $1,000 scholarship for their first-year
expenses at a college or private career school. One winner
will
be chosen every two weeks from October 31 through May 15. Go

Target All-Around Scholarships
Target awards over 600 scholarships each year to high school seniors
and college students age 24 and younger.

20.
Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund
The award is up to $2,000 per semester, based on financial need.
Eligibility: Must attend a public historically Black college
or
university.
Contact the Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund foundation for a list of

Tylenol Scholarships
Awards are made to eligible students pursuing careers in healthcare.

United Negro College Fund
Use this site to search through hundreds of scholarship and grant
programs administered by the United Negro College Fund and scholarships
administered by other organizations.
Students attending a UNCF member college or university should complete
the UNCF General Scholarship application online.
Eligibility: GPA minimum 2.5 on 4.0 scale, unmet need as
verified
by the university financial aid office, complete FAFSA

United States Department of Agriculture/1890
The National Scholars Program offers scholarships to US citizens who
are seeking a bachelor’s degree at one of eighteen 1890
Historically Black Land-Grant Universities.

Eligibility: GPA minimum 3.0, SAT 1000/ACT 21, attend one of
eighteen 1890 Historically Black Land-Grant Universities, study
agriculture, food, natural resource sciences, or other related
disciplines(biological sciences, pre-veterinary medicine, computer
science), leadership, community service

24.
United States Senate Youth Program
The USSSYP provides a one-week educational program and a $5,000
scholarship to two high school juniors/seniors from each of the fifty
states.

government
officers, class officers, or
student representative elected or appointed (appointed by a panel,
commission or board) to district, regional or state-level civic or
educational organization; test required

WPDE
Sports Scholarship
WPDE awards scholarships to high school seniors in the viewing
area. The money is raised from the WPDE Sports Shootout, a
charity golf event held at Wachesaw East every June. This
year’s scholarship number will be based on the amount of
money
raised in the 10th annual WPDE Celebrity Sports Shootout Golf
Tournament.
Eligibility: must be high school senior in WPDE viewing area,
attend a South Carolina institution of higher learning, essay required
